Quy Mill Wedding : James and Georgina
Quy Mill wedding
I recently got to return to one of my favourite wedding venues in the area, Quy Mill Hotel & Spa to photograph the Quy Mill wedding of Georgina and James.
The weather was perfect and I knew instantly that this Quy Mill wedding was to be a special one. So much thought and care had gone into making their wedding day very unique and personal.
But what truly made this wedding special was Georgina, the bride. She was so lovely, calm and relaxed throughout the entire day. Her bridal team was made up of their kids and I have to say that they took to the roll on expertly, despite all being under the age of 12!
I love photographing weddings at Quy Mill, and I’m one of their recommended suppliers.
Returning to the same venue means that you get a real insight into the venue, you know where the sun sets and what time and you know the best places to photograph at. And the team at Quy Mill are brilliant too. If you are planning a wedding, you must talk to Helen (their amazing wedding co-ordinator) and arrange a viewing to this venue.
On to this Quy Mill Wedding.
The day started with bridal prep at Quy Mill, with one of my most favourite wedding suppliers also attending, Kerry from Cambridge Make-up Artist.
James arrived in good time, so I was able to grab a few quick shots of him as he prepared for the wedding
Georgina wanted to talk to James before the wedding… So, I also jumped at the chance to grab this shot.
The ceremony was held at the Water Wheel Room and as if this day couldn’t get any more special, their three little girls sand a rendition of True Colours. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house, including me, but luckily for me I got to hide behind my camera!
As the guests spilled out onto the lawns, we got some group shots, but what I love to shoot is more relaxed informal and candid wedding shots, which I did.
James & Georgina and I got to wander around the grounds for a few formal portraits. Now, I never take my couple away for too long as I would rather they have fun celebrating with their guests than wandering around having their wedding photographs taken. So, a little later on in the evening, I got to take them to one of my favourite locations at Quy Mill, an old bridge, for some more formal portraits.
The evening ended with some spectacular dancing and much more laughter. for me, it was why I became a wedding photographer.
A huge thanks to Georgina and James for allowing me to shoot their Quy Mill Wedding.
To the team at Quy Mill, THANK YOU as always.
And to the other suppliers… You are stars!
