Longstowe Hall Wedding : Henry & Alice get married!
I was so chuffed that I got to photograph this lovely couple’s special wedding at Longstowe Hall back in May.
Epic, memorable and stylish weddings are made of many ingredients. You need a stunning venue, brilliant suppliers that can decorate the venue to reflect the clients’ tastes, fantastic weather helps, so does the most delicious artisan ice-cream served from a traditional ice cream cart for all the guests (and photographer) to enjoy. And you need the most chilled out, elegant, happy couple getting married, just to finish of the day perfectly.
Henry and Alice were the type of clients that wedding photographers dream off… happy to let their day unfold naturally, happy to let their photographer just go about his job and happy that they were going to get married. There was no stress, there was no hurry, there was just laughter.
As you know Lonstowe Hall is one of my most favourite wedding venues, so when you get to photograph such a laid back, elegant couple as these two at one of your favourite venues, then you know that it’s going to be quite the wedding!
The venue looked at its best. Everywhere you looked the grounds looked stunning. The flower beds had exploded with colour, the greenery surrounding the venue was at its fullest, and the lawns looked impeccable. And the team at Longstowe had done a wonderful job of carrying Henry and Alice’s wedding vision of flowery meadows and the countryside into the marquee’s decor.
The place, as usual, looked stunning.
Prep happened in the cottage at Longstowe, and it was a chilled out affair. The cottage is perfect for prep with elegant rooms, clean and uncluttered decor and seconds away from the ever-so impressive walk to the ceremony, which was also held at Longstowe Hall.
And just when you feel that Longstowe Hall can’t give you any more, as the sun set, a mist floated in over the grounds, engulfing this stunning venue and turning it in to a film set. Stunning.
So a massive thank you goes out to our cast, Henry and Alice and all of the bridal and groom’s team as w ell as all of their family and friends that welcomed me and allow d me to photograph the day naturally.
A special thank you as always to the director, Linda, Longstowe Hall’s wedding co-ordinator.
And thank you to the crew that decorated, that prepped, that fed played and that showed just how lucky I get to be to work with such a truly professional bunch!
