Lydia and Tom | Chippenham Park
A truly perfect Chippenham Park Wedding
As a wedding photographer I spend a lot of my time wishing that the rain clouds would pass before my clients start their wedding. I use every weather app available to get the tiniest insight into how he weather will behave.
And for Lydia and Tom the rain clouds seemed to miss all the important moments during their day. It rained during the service, and then again during their wedding breakfast. In-between, the sun shone and my sincere thanks goes to Hugo, the owner Of Chippenham, who came out with a weather report print out and smile to let me know that the rain wouldn’t interrupt the day!
Their wedding started at their local church and then moved on to the stunning Chippenham Park.
Chippenham Park is simply one of my most favourite wedding venues in the world!
The drink reception was held outside, where the guests mingled in Chippenham’s beautifully kept formal gardens. And just as the the store clouds gathered everyone was called in for the breakfast, just as it started to rain.
In my experience of photographing at Chippenham, bad weather seems to by pass this venue, but it always leaves thee most stunning skies.
Just as the sun began to set, my self, Lydia and Tom as well as Lydia’s bridesmaids all went for a quiet walk around the grounds so that we could get some lovely environmental portraits.
If you time it just right, then the old iron bridge makes for a superb location just as the sun sets, and the garden’s ancient roses (which always seem to be in flower), offer vintage backgrounds for lots of photo opportunities.
Here’s a selection of photographs taken at Lydia and Tom’s wonderful wedding at Chippenham Park.
