A Granary Estates Wedding is always a Spectacular Affair.

Here’s our latest journal entry on this great wedding, and looking forward to getting back to this great venue.

Ashley & Charlie’s Granary Estates wedding was always going to be a special event, super chilled out and fun.  And this wedding did not disappoint.   So here’s a (slightly) long journal entry featuring this amazing couple, this stunning wedding venue and all this beautiful wedding inspo.

And So To This Amazing Wedding At The Granary Estates

Mostly I try and keep my blogs and journal entries short and sweet.  But such a gorgeous venue, with lovely people deserves a little more attention.

The Venue

Firstly, The Granary Estates is one very well run, professional wedding venue.  Situated close to Cambridge, minutes from Newmarket,  this wedding has so many beautiful areas.

You’ll have your wedding breakfast in thee most stunning, spacious barn.  Your ceremony will take place in their gorgeous dedicated barn, and during the summer months your family and friends can enjoy the drinks reception in the large courtyard. And as the evening approaches guests spill out onto the courtyard as well as the surrounding grounds to relax well into the evening.

The Bridal Prep

Although The Granary Estates has thee most beautiful cottage, where brides and grooms can get ready, Charlie’s bridal prep was at her family home, surrounded by her bridal team and super glam mum.  And the great thing is that the entire team got to travel to The Granary Estates on a stunningly decorated vintage double decker.

The Bride’s Arrival

As bridal preps go… Charlie’s was very relaxed and definately non-rushed… The entire party, including their wedding photographer,  boarded a beautifully decorated double decker for the journey to The Granary Estates, collecting a few key members along the way.

The Ceremony

Ashley and Charlie had a wedding ceremony in the ornate barn at The Granary, surrounded by friends and family.  even though it was such a hot day, the barn was the right temp ensuring Ashley looked relaxed as he waited for his bride to arrive.

The Breakfast

After thee most amazing cocktails, all served in the Granary Estates’ beautiful courtyard, the guests were welcomed into the main barn for the wedding breakfast.  This barn is breathtaking, and I am always in awe at how venue decorators can personalise such impressive spaces into truly unique venues.

Just a Walk In The Grounds

As the guests spilled around the courtyards, I grabbed the opportunity to go for a walk around the grounds with Ashley and Charlie to get some wedding portraits. The thing about this venues is that it is surrounded by glorious countryside, and if you time it just right,  you’ll also get stunning wild flower meadows.

The Party

As I don’t get out that much, I usually stay way into the celebrations to make sure I capture all that ‘amazing’ dancing. So you’ll see me on the dance floor almost until the very end of your wedding (photographing, not dancing, no one wants to see that).    The evening celebrations kicked off in the main barn and the party continued well into the evening.  As it was such a warm evening that the guests also gathered on the lawn to the front of the baarn as well as in the courtyard.  It was just a perfect way to end a perfect wedding.

Book The Granary Estates For Your Wedding

I am so fortunate that my clients tend to gravitate to beautiful wedding venues as it makes my job slightly easier to have beautiful backdrops and stunning locations.

But what sets The Granary Estates apart from other venues is the dedication and professionalism of the events team there.  During the lockdowns, I got a call from their wedding coordinator who was calling all the suppliers of a wedding as the date had to be moved.  Typically, this was usually left to brides and grooms to struggle with… Not at The Granary Estates though.  Their team there demonstrates professionalism during every aspect of the wedding journey.  And did I mention just how beautiful this venue is?
